Terrorist attacked police station in Lakki Marwat, KPK which resulted in killing of four policemen and one DSP Iqbal Momand. Terrorists attacked Saddar Police Station at around 1 am.
According to the latest investigation, terrorists were carrying heavy and modern weapons. The police personnel were already on standby and responded to the retaliatory fire of terrorists. Terrorists escaped in the dark of night and after some time they attacked again.

Five personnel including Head Constable Farooq Shah, Constables Amanat ullah, Azghar Ali, Gul Tiaz and Arif were Injured. As soon the information about attack was received, DSP Iqbal Momand went his way to police station.
On his way towards police station, an IED exploded on road near the vehicle of DSP. In the roadside bomb attack, DSP, and Constable Ali Marjan, Constable Waqar martyred on the spot.
The injured police officers were taken to Lakki City Hospital for medical assistance.
TTP claimed responsibility of attack
Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed the responsibility of this attack. Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef expressed his gried over the attaco and prayed for the sacrifices of our brave soldiers.
He said that, “The sacrifices of our policemen in the war against terrorism are unforgettable. May Allah grand the martyrs a place in his Mercy and speedy recovery to the injured”.

Earlier, citizens of Lakki Marwat also protested in streets against the ongoing wave of terrorism in KPK which killed alot of people and police officers. Citizens demanded government to revise its policies and fight with terrorism as soon as possible.
