Caretaker Minister for Health, Dr. Nadeem Jan, inaugurated an Online Registration and Licensing System at the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) in Islamabad. The introduction of this System Aims to alleviate Challenges Faced by individuals and Pharmaceutical Companies Contributing to Enhanced Efficiency in the Regulatory Processes.

During the launch event, Health Minister Dr. Nadeem Jan Emphasized the Commitment to transparency within DRAP. The Digitization of the System is Expected to Address issues Such as the Artificial Shortage of Medicines Promoting a more Streamlined and Accessible Regulatory Environment.

The Move aligns with Broader Efforts to Modernize and improve Healthcare infrastructure Ensuring the Availability of Essential and Life saving Medicines. In a prior Development Dr. Nadeem Jan Directed DRAP to Expedite the Registration of Medicines on an Emergency Basis Emphasizing the importance of a Robust Supply Chain for Critical Medications.

Under the directives of the Minister for Health DRAP has prioritized the registration of various medicines, including those for diabetes and anticancer treatment. The approval Process Covers a Range of Pharmaceutical Products from anesthesia injections to anti Cancer Drugs facilitating both import and local Manufacturing.

Key approvals also include influenza Vaccines ,Heparin and Enoxaparin injections, reflecting a Comprehensive approach to enhancing the Availability and accessibility of a Diverse Range of Medical Treatments.
