The boxing heavyweight champion George Foreman died at 76 on March 21, 2025 with his family present but staying by his side. He was 76 years old.

He was born in 1949 in Marshall, Texas. At the 1968 Mexico City Olympics he earned Olympic gold from his early life start. During his professional boxing career, he claimed the heavyweight title twice by beating up Joe Frazier in 1973, then took home the oldest heavyweight championship record by stopping Michael Moorer in 1994 when he was 45 years old. In 1974, he gave the fight of his life when he lost to Muhammad Ali during the “Rumble in the Jungle” held in Kinshasa.

After achieving his 76-5 boxing record, George Foreman earned nationwide fame through his business deals, particularly with the George Foreman Grill. He worked as a pastor and established a Texas youth center after deploying his ministry.
