In Ramadan 2025, the State Bank of Pakistan changed bank operating hours to suit fasting times. Every commercial bank throughout Pakistan will operate under these updated working hours. The State Bank of Pakistan reports official bank working hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday without breaks. During Ramadan, the financial institutions will work from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Fridays.

During the working week from Monday to Thursday, the public can access banking services from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., and on Friday services conclude at noon. The State Bank of Pakistan wants people to learn about and prepare for specific Ramadan 2025 banking hours as stated by their official spokesman.
Before this, the Establishment Division released a notification changing the working schedule for federal government offices during the Ramadan period. The five-day workweek offices will run their operations between 9 AM to 3 PM while six-day workweek offices will open from 9 AM to 2 PM. The public workforce must end Friday activities at 12:30 pm to practice Jumu’ah religious ceremonies.
The national railway company Pakistan Railways modified the work hours for ticket booking offices. The two-hour office shifts run from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for each office. The railway reservation offices will stop working from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Fridays for prayer sessions. Reservation offices with a single-shift team will not make any changes to their regular working hours. These operational modifications will be in effect from Ramadan to the 15th then standard working hours will restart.
