Officially, Babar has partnered with CA Sports after ending its long-standing association with English cricket brand Gray-Nicolls.
CA Sports, a household name in Pakistani cricket circles, is renowned for its high quality cricket equipment and has supplied equipment to many professional cricketers around the world.
The agreement is seen as a mutually beneficial alliance, with Babar’s global stature expected to raise CA Sports’ profile on the international stage.
The decision by Babar to part company with Gray-Nicolls marks the end of an era. The English brand has been a constant in his career over the past three years, during which time he has achieved a number of milestones, including becoming the fastest player to reach 5,000 runs in an ODI and leading Pakistan to the T20 World Cup final in 2022.
His achievements with Gray-Nicolls bats have not only strengthened his legacy, but also the brand’s reputation in the world of cricket.
Although the exact reasons for the switch are unclear, some believe that his recent struggles with the bat may have played a part, as sports stars are often known to change equipment to get out of a slump or gain a psychological edge.
