Opting to bat first, Australia set a formidable target of 254 runs in their 50 overs. Harjas Singh played a crucial role in their innings, scoring a brilliant half-century with 55 runs off 64 balls, featuring three boundaries and as many sixes. Captain Hugh Weibgen, Oliver Peake, and Harry Dixon also contributed significantly with scores of 48, 46, and 42 respectively. Raj Limbani as the bowler played really well for India. Adarsh Singh and Murugan Abhishek were the only Indian batsmen to offer some resistance. Singh top-scored with a gritty 47 off 77 balls, including five fours and a six, while Abhishek contributed a valuable 42 off 46 balls with five boundaries and a maximum.
