The Awami National Party (ANP) has initiated Discussions with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) regarding Seat adjustments in Karachi for the Upcoming General Elections, according to Sources Reported by News.
Leadership from ANP and MQM-P Engaged in talks Concerning a Potential Electoral alliance on Several Seats in Karachi. Notably, ANP’s Karachi leadership expressed reluctance to form an Alliance with the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). Multiple meetings have already taken Place among ANP, PML-N, and MQM-P to Explore seat adjustments for the impending Polls.
However there have been Complications in Negotiations as MQM-P Reportedly refused to adjust its traditional Seats with PML-N. The refusal Primarily Pertained to Seats in Karachi, with MQM-P Showing agreement on Seat adjustments in Specific Constituencies of Lyari, Keamari and Malir.
Both Parties agreed to further Discussions Regarding seat Adjustments Particularly in a Rural seat in Malir. The MQM-P Put forth Mustafa Kamal as its Candidate for the Baldia Town seat. Simultaneously the Political Party insisted on naming its Candidates for both National Assembly (NA) Seats in Hyderabad.
