
ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is nearing, all the international teams are gearing up for the highly competitive battle with diverse strategies. As a prelude, each team is playing their individual international schedules in the form of ODI series/Tri-series. Currency, the host of the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Pakistan is preparing themselves effectively through the tri-series against South Africa and New Zealand.
Today, Pakistan will encounter their second ODI match with South Africa in the tri-series with the determination to enter into the final of the series. On Feb 12, PCB announced a change in their squad that the right-arm fast bowler Haris Rauf will be replaced by a left-arm pacer Akif Javed. About which PCB has told,
“The replacement is only for the tri-nation ODI series, as Haris Rauf is expected to be fully fit and available for selection for the ICC Champions Trophy”
Javed was roped into the squad after the injury of Rauf against New Zealand at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Javed is a 24 year left arm pacer with 33 wickets and a one five wicket haul in his budding career. His economy is recorded as 6.07.
