Pakistani students achieve big victory in Turkish Tech Festival

A proud moment for Pakistan! Two young students, Asma Fatima and Inaya Khan, brought credit to the country by winning the first prize in the Social Innovation category at the Teknofest 2025, an international aerospace and technology festival held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

The talented pair, under the guidance of Mrs. Gohar Khursheed, developed an Emotion Detector Gadget for Quadriplegic, which lets people with speech and motion paralysis express how they feel. Their hard work surely paid off, as the team was chosen among 268 finalists and an applicant pool of over 47,000 from 22 different countries.

The prize was presented by none other than the President of Turkey, Mr. Tayyip Erdoğan, who added more glory to this achievement.

The year before, those same Pakistani students won three bronze medals at the International Physics Olympiad in Iran, proving that Pakistani youth continue to shine on global platforms.
