In safety rankings in 2025, Lahore will outshine the Capitals of the World

Now, according to the Crime and Safety Index 2025 of Numbeo, Lahore is among the few global large cities that can be considered very safe, ranking 37th for low crime and 63rd in overall safety, ahead of Mexico City, Washington D.C., New Delhi, Paris, and New York.

These rankings, which have relatively improved, perfectly reflect the advancement of urban governance and policing in Lahore city. Crime statistics showed nearly 50 percent reduction between 2023 and 2024 with phenomenal declines in robbery, homicide, and vehicle theft. The success of the police was basis upon data collection and analysis, a real-time running map of crime, and enhanced accountability of police.

Undoubtedly, these changes will benefit the city’s security and place it internationally for tourism and investor confidence.
