According to ARY News, the Counter-Terrorism Department took 2 terrorists into custody in Rawalpindi who belonged to the banned group Fitanah al-Khawarij. Two men called Hamza and Roman, conducted a grenade attack against the I-9 police station.

CTD officers state that their search discovered all explosive devices and detonator supplies along with safety tools. The first investigations found that the terrorists worked under an important commander for Fitanah al-Khawarij from Afghanistan. Law enforcement created a formal record to check all possible details linked to their suspected actions.

A shooting incident in Bannu resulted in three deaths and nine injured people. A terrorist attack against the Aman Committee office happened at the Uthman Zai police station premises. After the counterattack, the committee members shot and wounded eight attackers.

Before December 28, authorities engaged Ajmer and Bhutto in a firefight, which ended with their deaths during a police patrol near Township in Hayat Shah. Both sides suffered damage as a policeman sustained injuries before being transferred to medical care. The attack marked the second incident in December when militants killed a police officer inthe  Bannu District. The government boosts security operations while law enforcement investigates the terrorist incidents.
