pakistan responds to canada’s claim about india’s role in sikh leader’s killing
Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary, Syrus Qazi, has reacted to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s recent statement, where Trudeau suggested that the Indian government might be involved in the killing of a Sikh leader in Canada. Qazi, during a talk at the Pakistan mission in the United Nations, said that Pakistan wasn’t “surprised” by Trudeau’s statement.
Trudeau had informed the assembly that Canadian security agencies were looking into credible claims that people linked to the Indian government might have been connected to the murder of a Canadian citizen, Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
Qazi, in response, reminded everyone that Pakistan had arrested an Indian naval officer named Kulbhushan Yadav back in March 2016. Yadav was working for the Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and was found guilty of spying and involvement in activities aimed at causing trouble in Pakistan. He Was Sentenced to Death.
Qazi explained that because of this past experience, Pakistan didn’t find Trudeau’s claims surprising. He also Suggested that there might be Some truth to what Trudeau had said,
He went on to Say that India Was involved in Activities to destabilize Pakistan and he Criticized India for its actions in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), accusing India of engaging in state-Sponsored terrorism in that Region.

Trudeau’s Comments have attracted a lot of attention Worldwide. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), urged the international Community to Recognize India as a “Rogue, Hindutva, and terrorist state.”

Regarding the visit of Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister to the United States for the 78th UNGA session Qazi Mentioned that all important issues including Kashmir, would be discussed during the Prime Minister’s speech at the UN General Assembly. He also Noted that the Prime Minister had already attended important events like the UN General Assembly’s Reception and opening Session and had held Significant meetings with other leaders during the Summit.
