69th national film awards winners list

The  excitement surrounding the 69th National Film Awards reached its peak as the winners were announced in a live event on Thursday at 5 pm. This prestigious event, organized by the Directorate of Film Festivals under the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, celebrated the finest cinematic achievements from across India.

One of the most prominent victories of the evening was Allu Arjun being crowned the Best Actor for his remarkable performance in “Pushpa: The Rise” which got the heart of million. The audience was captivated by his portrayal and he expressed his gratitude by saying he felt both “honored and humbled.”

The Best Actress award was shared this year, with Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon being recognized for their exceptional talents. Alia Bhatt’s compelling role in “Gangubai Kathiawadi” which is world wide famous and Kriti Sanon’s heartwarming performance in “Mimi” both earned them the coveted award.

The film “Rocketry  The Nambi Effect” soared to victory as it secured the award for Best Feature Film. This biographical project mesmerized the audience with its captivating storytelling and stellar performances. It got worldwide recognition.

The spirit of unity and integration was celebrated through the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Film on National Integration, which was presented to “The Kashmir Files.” This film, known for its thought-provoking narrative, rightfully claimed the award.

Among the standout achievers of the evening, “Sardar Udham,” the biographical historical drama directed by Shoojit Sircar, secured multiple awards. Notably, it clinched the Best Hindi Film title along with accolades for Best Cinematography, Best Audiography, Best Production Design, and Best Costume Design.

The awards were first introduced in 1954 as the ‘State Awards,’ recognizing excellence in regional language films. Last year, the 68th National Film Awards saw the triumph of “Soorarai Pottru,” a Tamil film that secured five awards. The film’s exceptional storyline, direction, and performances made it a standout winner. The ceremony also paid tribute to the legendary Asha Parekh with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
