Jahangir Tareen made a new political party ‘Istehkam e Pakistan’ and all the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf left over leaders joined him in the formation of new party. More than 100 former National Assembly members and leaders joined the party.
The party announcement was made at the residence of Aleem Khan, another former leader of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf, a dinner was also hosted for the former ruling party legislators.

More than 100 National and Provincial Assembly leaders joined the crowd expressing their confidence in Tareen leadership.
Ex-PTI Leaders joining New Party
Those who joined the ‘Istehkam e Pakistan’ party include former Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, ex-shipping minister Ali Zaidi, former Federal Minister Amir Kayani, Firdous Ashiq Awan, Mehmood Naqvi, Fayyazul Hassan Chohan, Murad Ras and Jai Parkash.
Naurez Shakoor, Nauman Langrial and Ajmal Pervez also joined the party.
Several leaders of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf joined the Tareen party after they left PTI when Imran Khan responsible for the riots that broke out across the country following his arrest in graft case on May 9.
