Pakistan Red Crescent Society National headquarters provided state of art blood collection van to its Punjab Branch for increasing blood donations in the province. The storage capacity of van is 92 units and four people can donate blood at a time to its collection unit.
Chairman PRCS Sardar Shahid Ahmad Leghari ordered to hand over the van to Punjab blood donation department to fulfill his commitment of strengthening all Red Crescent branches and bring innovations in all the branches for best services in the whole country.

Secretary General PRCS Muhammad Abaidullah Khan gave the keys and all the official documents of blood collection van to Red Crescent secretary of Punjab branch Muhammad Zahid in a ceremoney held at PRCS National headquarters.
Challenges to Punjab PRCS branch
There were a lot of challenges faced by all the branches of Pakistan Red Crescent Society because of increasing disease rates and lack of hospital facilities. During the visit of PRCS chairman Sardar Shahid Ahmad Leghari, he assured all the facilitation and provision for support of all the branches of PRCS.
The chairman addressed all the challenges face by PRCS branches in the country and also indicated the implementation of requests from Punjab branch in increasing blood donations capacitt and strengthening its motives in helping people in times of need.
Secretary Punjab branch Muhammad Zahid thanked the chairman Pakistan Red Crescent society on behalf of whole team and Punjab province for providing the flexible van facility.

Earlier PRCS National Headquarter also provided two modern ambulances equipped with all the facilities to Punjab branch in order to increase capacity and make the availability of best services for Blood Donor Center and Red Crescent Medical College.
