Concepts of Multiverse and Parallel Universe

The DC Universe is also going to experiment with the concepts of multiverse and parallel universe, after its rival MCU, through its upcoming movie The Flash.

In the teaser for The Flash, released by Warner Bros. during the Super Bowl on Monday, Ezra Miller’s Flash breaks the DC multiverse when he time travels to the past to save his family and encounters both Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton’s Batman.

General Zod and Superman’s cousin

The nearly three-minute-long teaser appears to be the first DC movie to truly explore the idea of the multiverse. It also teases the Kryptonian nemesis General Zod and Superman’s cousin Supergirl (played by Sasha Calle).

Affleck and Keaton, two Batman, and Supergirl join Miller’s Barry Allen and himself on their quest to defend the world against Michael Shannon’s evil General Zod, who was initially glimpsed in the 2013 Superman movie Man of Steel.

Effects of Changing Reality

Barry must now deal with the effects of changing reality after going back in time against Batman’s wishes to change an instance from his history.

As he defends the world from criminals from many realities, Barry is assisted by a group of superheroes throughout the multiverse.
