Amber Heard is opening up about her harrowing trip in the Bahamas with ex-husband Johnny Depp.
In his first fight with Heard, the 58-year-old vowed to give up drugs. The actress claims that Depp kicked and slapped her, after which she “decided to leave him.”
Heard informed Depp of his choice in an email, and “he traveled to New York to battle for the relationship, to fight for me, to prove he was clean and I felt he was embarrassed and remorseful, and I believed him.”
“I took him back and reconnected with him on the condition that he keep his vow to complete the treatment, detox, clean up, and never return.”
In August of 2014, the couple traveled to the Bahamas. She said Depp was “up and down” for the first four days, but then “calm.” Her ex-husband “broke into anger at me, cursing at me,” she recalled.
Depp would be “screaming and screaming” while attempting to upturn a table that was firmly attached to the ground.”
He was “very peaceful” at other times, and she informed her that “all the time I saved his life, he wouldn’t be doing this without me.”
“I said something to him and he got so angry at me he slapped me across the face, but he did it like crying. It was the weirdest thing, he’s crying, saying no woman has embarrassed him like that, no woman has ever made him feel like that.”
Amber Heard stated in the court: “This was over my head, I don’t know how to detox someone, I don’t know how to help them, I shouldn’t have been there.”
When asked why she went with Depp, Heard replied: “I didn’t realize it was the most ridiculously stupid notion until Johnny asked me to. I’m not sure why the physicians and nurses didn’t warn me about it.
“I had no idea what that was going to look like or be like and it was hell.”
“You’re on an island, I am trying to take care of him and he was hallucinating and screaming at me for things I said when I hadn’t said anything.”
Depp has completely denied any and all allegations that he ever attacked Amber.
