The Karachi Police has claimed to have arrested a man involved in transferring stolen motorcycles to Balochistan from Karachi.
As per the police, his accomplice managed to flee during the raid.
The police said the suspect was arrested from Madina Colony as he was attempting to transfer a stolen motorcycle to Balochistan. The suspect was identified as Hafeez and his accomplice, Jamil, was able to flee away.
During the probe, it emerged that the suspect had a history of criminal activities and was arrested previously. However, he was allowed to walk free after some days.

The suspect confessed that he was a regular traveller from Balochistan to Karachi and used a coaster in this regard. He used to go along with Jamil to transfer the stolen assets from the city.
“I was given Rs2000 for transferring a vehicle,” he said. The police noted that the suspect also removed the chip from his ID card to avoid detection.
This is not the first time that suspects from Balochistan have been involved in snatching vehicles in the port city.
The prime suspect in the Athar Mateen murder case also confessed to stealing around 1,000 motorcycles in the city. As per the initial probe, he was previously injured in a police encounter.
The suspect, identified as Ashraf, was arrested from the border areas of Sindh and Balochistan. He said he was involved in snatching motorcycles in Karachi for the last five years.
