The opening spell of monsoon rains has begun on Monday and it has bettered the weather in various parts of the country including Lahore and Islamabad.
As per details, the downpour has also turned weather pleasant in Sialkot, Gujranwala, Abbottabad, Karachi, Mansehra, and Tharparkar.
Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that partly cloudy weather is foreseen in the upper and central parts of the country. However, thundershower/rain-wind with isolated heavy fall and robust winds are expected in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, and Southeastern Sindh.
Meanwhile, hot and humid weather is to prevail elsewhere in the country.
Rain-thundershower occurred, today morning, in Islamabad, upper Punjab, central Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir.

Reports in local media quoted the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) saying that scattered to fairly wide-spread thunderstorms and downpours were reported over the upper catchments of all the major Rivers along with Sargodha Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, and Lahore Divisions.
The Met department in Karachi said the metropolis will continue to receive a mixture of heavy and light rainfall for the next two hours.
On the other hand, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) directed all officials of the districts to fasten precautionary measures for the protection of property and life of the citizens with the spring of torrential rains in the country.

Sargodha 28, Gujrat, Mangla 11, Sialkot (City 17, Airport 11), Gujranwala, Murree 08, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Kakul 37, Parachinar 08, Saidu Sharif 06, Narowal 03, Jhelum 01, Kashmir: Garhi Dupatta 19, Muzaffarabad (City 06, Airport 04), Kotli 06, Balochistan: Lasbella 18, Zhob 02, Panjgur and Kalat 01.
