3 recipes you have to try out this Eid

No eid is complete without traditional Pakistani eid dishes. If you are someone who is looking for eid recipes to try out this year, you are at the right place.

1. Dahi Baray:

Dahi Bara is a traditional Pakistani snack loved by the masses. It consists of lentil dumplings garnished with a yoghourt mixture, imli chutney, and chat masala.

Recipe:

Take a cup of gram flour. Add one teaspoon of salt, half a teaspoon of red chili powder, one teaspoon of cumin seeds, and a pinch of baking powder. Add water into the mixture and create a thin paste. Now take a pan, add one cup of cooking oil and let it heat up. Take one tablespoon, scoop up the mixture with the spoon, and put it in the oil. Let the baray turn light brown. Take out the baray and place them in water. Squeeze out the water and place the baray in a dish. 

Now take one cup of yoghourt, add salt, chaat masala, and 2 spoons of sugar and mix it up. Put this mixture on the baray and top it off with imli chutney, chat masala, and fresh coriander leaves.

2. Shami kebab:

Shami kebabs are a must! Kebabs are made of meat, spices, and chickpea lentils.

Recipe:

Take a big pot, add four cups of lentils (chana dal), half kg of beef, 3 teaspoons of red chili powder, one teaspoon of crushed chilies, one teaspoon of turmeric, 4 teaspoons of coriander powder, one teaspoon garam masala powder, 3 spoons of cumin seeds, one small potato, one small onion, one small ginger piece and 5 cloves of ginger into it. Let it cook under medium flame until the lentils turn soft. 

Let the mixture cool. Add 5 green chilies and one cup of chopped coriander, and chop the mixture in a chopper. Then add one egg into the mixture and mix it well. Now make kebabs and fry them. Serve them with ketchup and mint chutney.

3. Sheer Khurma:

Sheer khurma is a sweet dish made of milk, vermicelli, and nuts. People love to eat it on eid.

Recipe:

Take a pan, add one liter of milk, 3 to 4 cardamom, and 2 small cups of sugar and let it boil. When the milk is boiled, lower the heat and put 2 small cups of vermicelli into the mixture. Stir it well and let the mixture cook. Then the vermicelli is thoroughly cooked; dish out the sheer khurma and garnish it with crushed almonds, pistachio, raisins, and coconut flakes.
