Maryam Nawaz on becoming the Chief Minister of Punjab announced how her government had achieved the results within 100 days that means roughly three months. 

According to the leadership and vision of the CM, historic steps are being taken for the development and prosperity of farmers under the Punjab Agricultural Transformation Program. She has initiated unprecedented projects in the agro sector for the past 3 months.

These views were expressed by Punjab Agriculture and Livestock Minister Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani along with information and Culture Minister Punjab Azma Bokhari during a press meet at DGPR. The Provincial Minister of  Agriculture and Livestock stated agriculture is the backbone of Pakistan and especially Punjab. The growth last year was 2.38% while overall growth was 6.35% showing the exemplary performance of Punjab farmers that resulted in this growth.

In the annual development budget of 2024-25, presented by CM Maryam Nawaz, there has been an allotment of 64 billion 61 crore has been made for the development of agriculture, while 50.9 billion rupees has been kept aside as non developmental budget. There have been a lot of schemes that have been launched such as the Chief Minister Green Tractor Scheme that was launched at a cost of $30 billion rupees. This year, 20000 tractors would be given at a subsidy of 70/30 where govt will pay 15 lakh and farmers are to pay 6 to 7 lakh.

Additionally, interest free loans amounting to 150 billion rupees are to be provided to the farmers through CM Punjab Kisan Card that would benefit 5 lakh families as they would get funds to buy seeds, fertilisers and pesticides.

According to the vision of CM maryam Nawaz Sharif, the state govt will provide 25000 agricultural machineries to farmers in 2 years with a 60/40 partnership. It was stated that 1000 agricultural graduates were to be hired for a 1 year internship. The govt has also registered 212 FIRs and seized fake goods worth 17 crore rupees in relation to bringing hi tech machinery in the state.

The CM also has introduced programmes in machine learning, artificial intelligence, startups, skill development programs and e-merchandising to educate 4000 children in these subjects and especially the IT sectors. 

Sports have also been promoted in every district of the Punjab state along with giving scholarships to students.
