Arshad Nadeem Wins Best Asian Athlete Award

Arshad Nadeem, Pakistan’s number one javelin thrower, has won the ‘Best Asian Athlete’ Award by Asian Athletics. The award was presented during an official ceremony in Gumi, South Korea, after the Asian Athletics meeting, which demonstrates Arshad in the international athletics arena.

Nadeem made history during the 2024 Paris Olympics as Pakistan’s first individual Olympic gold medalist, throwing an impressive distance of 92.97 meters, and putting Pakistan on the world athletics map.

Arshad has previously competed at the Olympics, World Championships, Asian Games, and many other events, and medaled 4 Golds, 1 Silver, and 4 Bronze.

Arshad is currently preparing to compete at the Asian Athletics Championship in South Korea where he will again represent his country. Not only does this award represent a personal achievement for Arshad, but also demonstrates the pride of the country’s evolving strength in athletics.
