Pakistan’s Motorways is about to Become even Smoother as the National Highway and Motorway Authority (NHMA) introduces a Mandatory M-Tag Registration Requirement effective February 5. This Digital toll Collection System aims to Enhance Motorist Convenience and Ensure a free Traffic flow at the Entrance and Exit Points of major Motorways.

The new Regulation encompasses all Vehicles intending to Traverse the Extensive Motorway Network Encompassing Crucial Routes such as the Peshawar-Islamabad-Lahore Motorway (M1), Pindi Bhattian-Multan Motorway (M4), Hakla-D.I. Khan Motorway (M14), Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway (M3), Multan-Sukkur Motorway (M5) and Hassanabdal-Mansehra Expressway (E35).

Securing the M-Tag is a Straightforward Process – motorists can Visit a customer care Center, Armed with their Vehicle Registration book/card and CNIC. Post the February 5 Deadline, Vehicles lacking the M-Tag will be Denied entry onto the Motorways.

To facilitate a Smooth Transition the National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP) and the NHMA have issued Crucial Advisories. Motorists are urged to Confirm the Successful Completion of their M-Tag Registration, thereby avoiding Potential Penalties.
