son toughest decision since joining spurs in 2015
One of the most prominent names in the Asian football scenario, Son Heung-min from South Korea has announced that he is going to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer, ending a decade-long stay in north London.
Speaking at a press conference in Seoul on Saturday, Son called it “the most difficult decision of my career”. He joined Spurs in 2015 from Bayer Leverkusen and became a club legend, scoring 173 goals in 454 appearances.
Son Heung-min could be joining this club after Tottenham Hotspur
“I need a bit of change,” Son noted during the conference, sitting beside Tottenham Hotspur captain Thomas Frank as emotions ran high. Under his leadership, the club clinched the 2025 UEFA Europa League trophy, their first major achievement in a long time.
If reports are to be taken into consideration, Son Heung-min could be joining MLS side Los Angeles FC, marking the next chapter in his illustrious career. The South Korean footballer’s departure from Tottenham Hotspur is doing the rounds on social media.
