Pakistan requires substantial changes to its cricket lineup, according to Shahid Afridi, ahead of the Fifth T20 international versus New Zealand. Afridi sees this final game as the right chance to let substitute players show their skills despite the team already losing the series. Through his X account post, Shahid Afridi announced his plan of giving bench players an important match time by resting his son-in-law, Shaheen Afridi, and Shadab Khan.

The series proved difficult for Pakistan’s team because of their unstable playing results. Over their last four matches, the Pakistan batting team produced weak showings by scoring only 92 runs in the first T20I, plus 135 and 105 runs in the subsequent games. The third T20I match proved to be the only positive moment when Pakistan surpassed 205 runs with nine wickets remaining.

Their inclusion is greatly missed because Pakistan could not find steady players in the batting lineup. Pakistan needs the last T20I to discover fresh cricket talent after including Babar and Rizwan in both teams so far.
