Sarwat Gilani will take the lead in Farar, a gripping six-part web series directed by acclaimed Pakistani filmmaker Mehreen Jabbar and the series is all set to premiere at the 14th annual Chicago South-Asian Film Festival on September 23, 2023.
Joining Sarwat Gilani in this project are the talented Mariam Saleem, known for her work in Ek Jhoothi Love Story, and the versatile Maha Hasan. Together, they will bring to life the captivating narrative created in collaboration with producers Umnia Iftikhar, renowned for her work on the short film The Desert Journey, and Shailja Kejriwal, the Chief Creative Officer of Special Projects at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd.
While the storyline has been kept under wraps, a brief synopsis teases viewers with the promise of an exploration of friendship and the challenges that life throws at its three central female characters.
