Saqib Mahmood Faces Visa Hurdle Ahead of England's India Tour; ECB Cancels Flight

Pakistan-origin England cricketer Saqib Mahmood can’t play for the team when it tours India due to visa issues. According to The Daily Mail, the 27-year-old pace bowler has been locked out of country for the highly anticipated series due to visa issues. That is why even the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has cancelled his flight, the sources indicate. They have not confirmed his availability yet for the series, there are only eight days left before the first T20I – Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Mahmood was due to link up with team-mates Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Brydon Carse, and Mark Wood to train in UAE under close supervision of James Anderson. The camp’s principle was to prepare the players for the subcontinental conditions which are very different from what is experienced in the winter in England.
