The school boards in Punjab and Sindh approved new classes for students and teachers in 2025 Ramadan to help them fast while making academic operations run effectively. Schools in all Punjab and Sindh educational institutions will start their school day later but run their class times in two equal parts. The program begins its activation when Ramadan sets in on March 2, 2025, based on Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SPARCO) moon sighting predictions. The decision about moon sightings belongs to the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee but they need the final word.
