Lionel Messi, the amazing soccer player from Argentina, just won his eighth Ballon d’Or, which is like the trophy for the best player in the whole world. l in the soccer world it’s a huge achievement.. Messi beat Erling Haaland, who plays for Manchester City and had a fantastic season.
Messi’s journey to this record-breaking achievement was incredible. Last year, he helped Argentina win the World Cup. which they won after 36 years. That was a huge achievement for the country. Messi played a Big part in this win. He has three more Ballon d’Or awards than his rival Cristiano Ronaldo.
Messi said, “I couldn’t imagine having the career that I’ve had. Everything that I’ve achieved. The fortune I’ve had playing for the best team in the world, the best team in history.” He’s really thankful for the opportunities he’s had and the success he’s achieved.
