The fifth edition of Islamabad Run With Us (IRU) marathon would see over 3,000 runners from Pakistan and other international locations who will congregate in Islamabad. The prestigious race will commence at 7:00 of athletic prowess and community spirit watching the order of runners unfold on a warm March day from the E-11 fly over the ground from Iran Avenue.
Brothers Qasim and Hashim Naz founded IRU in 2016 and they have transformed the running scene in Pakistan. However, this year, this marathon has split into different categories such as 5 km, 10 km, half marathon, and full marathon and also as a special race for children below 12 yrs to encourage an active lifestyle. It won’t be boring, something entertaining other entertainment, food stalls and games of course.
Marathon is more than just a race, a race where fitness fans grow up and get engaged with their community and are a mirror of the running culture in Pakistan that is on its way. The event remains on course with international and local athletes participating and setting new benchmarks in the country when it comes to athletic events.
