Pakistan's Champions Trophy Squad: Three Players Likely to Miss Out

Pakistan’s final squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has caused an outcry after eliminating three players by selecting others from the squad. The eight teams of top ODI will take part in this tournament to be played between 19 February to 9 March.

Mohammad Wasim Jr might have to move down the pecking order with Mohammad Hasnain, who had impressed in the National One-Day Cup. Similarly, there may be scope for not selecting World Cup spinner Usama Mir with 15 wickets from 12 ODIs even though he has had a good run in the Big Bash League.

Veteran all rounder Mohammad Nawaz with 42 wickets and 406 runs to his im, who would have been the most unpleasant ouster from the ODI squad. Nevertheless, with Agha Salman coming up as the team’s favourite spin bowling all rounder Nawaz’s chances of making the squad seem a slight possibility. Cricket fans across the world wait for the final squad announcement.
