Pakistani pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi blessed with a baby boy

Pakistan’s star pacer and former ODI captain Shaheen Shah Afridi and his wife Ansha Afridi have recently become parents to a beautiful baby boy and are in a celebrating mood.

The baby has been named Ali Yar. The couple shared the news over social media, after that the messages started pouring in from around the globe from fans and well wishers.

This moment marks a very special moment for the cricketing fraternity in Pakistan and the whole world as Shaheen’s father in law, star spinner, former Pak cricketer and captain Shahid Afridi becomes a grandfather for the first time. 

Shaheen Shah Afridi is all set to depart to Karachi on Sunday night after the conclusion of the first test match against Bangladesh. He will rejoin with the boys before the start of the 2nd test match in Rawalpindi after spending some quality family time celebrating his son’s arrival.

Ansha Shahid is the eldest daughter of Shahid Afridi and the wife of Pak left arm fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi. The two got engaged in 2021 and did their nikkah on Feb 3, 2023 with a week long grand celebrations followed by a Rukhsati in Sept 2023. The grand reception was held at the DHA Golf and Country Club and was attended by former and current cricketers of the national team.
