Pakistan Urges UN to Investigate Israel’s Atrocity Crimes in Palestine

In a fervent appeal to the international Community Acting Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, Ambassador Usman Iqbal Jadoon, has called for urgent action to address Israel’s atrocities in Palestine. Speaking during the UN General Assembly Debate on the “Question of Palestine,” Ambassador Jadoon urged the Consideration of establishing a Special Tribunal and accountability mechanism to investigate the heinous Crimes Committed by Israel in Palestine.

Expressing deep Concern over Israel’s Continued indiscriminate and Criminal attacks against the Palestinian People, Ambassador Jadoon Highlighted the General Assembly’s call that went Unanswered. He emphasized the need for the deployment of an international Protection force or Mechanism to Safeguard Palestinian Civilians Particularly women and Children in Gaza and the West Bank. This force should also Play a Vital Role in restoring the Peace Process as Reported by Radio Pakistan.

Despite calls from both the General Assembly and the UN Security Council, Israel has Persisted in ignoring its Obligations under international law, including Humanitarian law. Ambassador Jadoon strongly Condemned Israel’s indiscriminate use of force labeling it as flagrant Violations of international Humanitarian law. He Pointed out that Israel’s actions including attacks on Civilians, infrastructure and the forced displacement of People within the occupied territory amount to war Crimes, Crimes against Humanity and Potentially the Crime of Genocide.

While acknowledging the efforts of Qatar and Egypt to save lives, Ambassador Jadoon asserted Pakistan’s stance for an immediate and Complete cessation of Hostilities.
