Pakistan, UAE to Boost Cricketing Collaboration

A record-breaking initiative in enhancing the relations of cricket was taken when PCB Chairman and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Sheikh Nayhan Mubarak Al Nashyan, the Chairman of the UAE Cricket Board, during the latter’s visit to Ghotki. The meeting pointed to cooperation for the improvement of cricket, specifically in bilateral development and the development strategies of the sport in the two countries.

Strengthening Cricketing Ties Between Pakistan and UAE

Mohsin Naqvi during the meeting welcomed Sheikh Nahyan warmly and underlined the deep and long-standing relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. As debates increased, it was Mohsin Naqvi’s turn to introduce Sheikh Nahyan to the meeting and he would remember that Pakistan and UAE are allies. The major part of the discussions was to enhance the cricketing experience by organizing a bilateral series, interchanging tours, and training. The cooperative partnership was also seen in the future development and perception of the sport and opportunities created for the players of the two states.

Sheikh Nahyan welcomed Pakistan’s encouragement of cricket and extended a message of goodwill for successfully convening the ICC Champions Trophy. He also reiterated the UAE’s stance to stand for any move by Pakistan and wanted a healthy relationship between both countries in terms of cricket.

Promoting Cricket and Expanding Opportunities

Mohsin Naqvi invited Sheikh Nahyan to watch the ICC Champions Trophy matches on Pakistan territory which was a positive step. He labelled the UAE’s support as full and appreciated it thanking every effort that has been taken to support cricket within the region to be responded to in equal measures.

It was agreed that the UAE has been an extraordinary venue for international cricket and both leaders were optimistic of future cooperation. The partnership intends to benefit from the experience and pools of the partners to deepen the bond between the two nations through cricket.
