Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have decided to work closely together in the world of technology. They Want to Focus on two important Areas, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Digital Economy. This Decision was made during a Meeting between Dr. Umar Saif, Pakistan’s Caretaker Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, and Omar Sultan Al Olama, the UAE’s Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications. This meeting took place in Dubai as part of the GITEX 2023 event.
At GITEX 2023, Pakistan is actively participating with over 27 tech companies and more than 45 startup businesses, all gathered under the banner of TechDestinationPakistan.
Dr. Umar Saif shared some Great News with Omar Sultan Al Olama. He Explained that Pakistan has a lot of Tech Potential. The Country Produces many IT graduates from its Universities and it has a Thriving startup Culture. This means Pakistan is a Great Place for Cooperation in the Tech field Especially in areas like AI and the Digital Economy.
GITEX 2023 is a big deal in the tech world. It’s a Place where Companies and Experts come together to talk about Technology and find new Opportunities. It’s a way to learn about the latest Developments in the Tech industry from around the World.

Omar Sultan Al Olama was happy to see Pakistan getting more involved in GITEX 2023. Both sides Decided to make their Collaboration official by signing an agreement called a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This MoU is for something called the Government Excellence Excellence Program (GEEP). The Program is all about making Governments Work better and Smarter.
