Pakistan and China reaffirm their desire to strengthen cooperation in various fields

Both Pakistan and China have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen cooperation in various fields.

This was agreed at a meeting between President Asif Ali Zardari and the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, in Islamabad today.

The two discussed ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

At the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on issues of bilateral importance.

Mr. Kouchner expressed his joy at the President’s recovery and conveyed to him the most sincere wishes of the Chinese leadership. He also presented a card from President Xi Jinping wishing President Asif Ali Zardari a Happy New Year, underlining the deep ties between Pakistan and China.

The meeting was also attended by Senator Saleem Mandvi-Walla and senior officials.
