With the Pakistan Industrial Expo 8 scheduled to start on November 09, 2024, at the Lahore Expo Centre, Pakistan’s industrial journey will take a new leap forward. This was made in a press briefing session with the presence of some of the country’s academic and industry gurus such as the Vice Chancellors of Punjab and Sargodha Universities. The expo will seek to involve over 130 overseas companies and will feature the developing relationship of industrial cooperation between Pakistan and global partners.
In his turn, Dr Muhammad Ali Shah, Vice Chancellor of Punjab University, shed light on the importance of the academic-industrial nexus for economic growth. The expo acts as a link between institutions and industries and assures innovations that will improve on-field training for students and research for industries.
The cooperation goes beyond these concepts and includes future initiatives to create cooperation in research activity and, possibly, specialization, such as industrial relations. The above-mentioned programs in concern have objectives to develop skilled manpower and encourage technology development of Pakistan’s industrial units.
Dr Qaiser Abbas of Sargodha University stressed the fact that the expo greatly contributes towards enhancing Pakistan’s economic relations with the world, especially China. The Director of the Everest International Expo, Wang Zihai, said that the event was an innovation platform aimed at the development of business relations between Chinese and Pakistani companies.
It is anticipated that the participating industries would make a significant number to come and demonstrate new and innovative industrial technologies/propositions at the expo. Industry stakeholders had also anticipated that such a platform would reignite an enormous volume of business transactions and allow such overseas as well as domestic enterprises to exchange with each other best practice.
