Snow, Rain, Landslides: Northern Pakistan Triggers a Change in Weather

Northern Pakistan

A weather change in Northern Pakistan is also bound to characterise the next few days as the winter persists to be cold yet very stable in the mountainous areas. It is predicted that daytime temperatures will range between 6°C and 10°C, and even nighttime temperatures can drop to -4°C, particularly in the higher altitudes. Employees can anticipate a predominantly dry weather at the beginning of the period with a combination of sunshine and cloud cover sweeping across Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and northern Kashmir.

The system of light rain is expected to arrive at the onset of the week, releasing the short showers on Friday. The weather will become partly cloudy over the weekend with brief intervals of sunshine before another round of disordered weather at the beginning of next week. The local weather forecasts also indicate that there might be some rain and snow showers on Tuesday, and this will pose some problems with regard to the slippery highways and localised landslides in the hilly areas that are prone to it.

What the Northern Regions mean by the Next Few Days

The weather change witnessed in Northern Pakistan would not cause long storms, although occasional rain may make travelling and day-to-day activities difficult. Slow warming at the end of the forecast period can drive the highs to above 10°C, but the cold nights will linger on. In general, the Northern Pakistan weather change indicates the restraining nature, instead of winter blowing out.
