naseem shah could sit out the entire world cup due to injured shoulder

Pakistan Cricket team’s star fast bowler Naseem Shah could sit out the entire International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup 2023 as his shoulder injury at the Asia Cup last week is said to be more severe than previously thought.

Shah missing the entire ICC World Cup 2023, set to start next month in India, will be a big blow to the Pakistani lineup. A report on Saturday said that scans of Shah’s right should suggest that his injury was worse than the initial diagnosis suggested.

The report further said that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is seeking second opinion about his injury but the tests in Dubai could be bad news for Pakistan. Furthermore, the report said that if his injury is as bad as what is known now, then he will be resting for several months. He could be out of the World Cup as well as the next test series in Australia and the Pakistan Super League.

Pakistan has the option of Zaman Khan, Shahnawaz Dahani, Hassan Ali are some of the choices available to Pakistan. Hassan Ali has the most experience from all the available options and could be the choice of PCB as a replacement for Shah.
