Nadra Shifts Registration Services to Nadra Mobile App, Launches New Regional Offices

Nadra has migrated its registration services from the Pak-ID website starting January 17 to a brand new Nadra mobile app. Responding to various challenges that people, especially Pakistanis living in other countries, are having with the site’s design, Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi made the announcement. The shutdown of the website also seeks to bring an end to scams related to fake identity document services.

Individuals can apply for IDs or NICOP, POC, B-Forms, or FRCs through online means, and since the services covered in the new application are all obtainable via the web, citizens no longer need to venture out. To improve the overall service delivery, the organization will open other three strategic offices in Azad Jammu & Kashmir by 31 MAR and Gwadar and Gilgit-Baltistan by the end of the year and aim at covering all the tehsils across the country.

On the other hand, Nadra Technologies Limited (NTL) and the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) have synchronized the biometric verification to the e-PAK Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS). It is expected that the initiative will register 35,000 bidders in the first phase while the capacity will be 300,000 in the future. The relationship between Muhammad Umar Khan and Sheikh Afzaal Rana both stressed the need for this relationship as a way to increase transparency in public procurement and fight fraud.
