Meera Defends Moammar Rana's Controversial Behavior at 'Baap' Premiere, Dubs Him 'Pakistan's Salman Khan'

Pakistani cinema veteran Meera has come to the support of actor Moammar Rana who appeared on the red carpet of his latest film Baap, despite his appearance being highly controversial. The actor made more new headlines after he was seen visible intoxicated at the event, unable to stay steady and with almost no one helping the actor walk on red carpet.

Meera calls Rana the ‘Salman Khan of Pakistan’ and a ‘national treasure’ who did huge work for the entertainment business. She’s worried about what’s happened to him and she’s saying he hasn’t fallen into the wrong hands, so she’s asking for help, not criticism. Stressing the importance of protecting and supporting artists Bollywood cinema out there have dedicated their life to, the actress said.

In the past few years, Moammar Rana, who became a star in the late 90s and early 2000s with films like, ‘Deewane Tere Pyar Ke’, and ‘Chooriyan‘ has mostly been working for television. So the ‘Baap’ premiere was planned to kick start a new phase of the actor’s career but turned into a nationwide meme fest as he reportedly appeared too drunk to know what was going on.
