In Pakistan, PTI leader Imran Khan and his associate Shah Mahmood Qureshi were due to be formally charged in a classification case but the legal action has been delayed by a week because their lawyers objected to receiving relevant documents at the final court session.

This special court hears cases involving classified information under the Official Secrets Act. The trial was held in the Adiala jail and the prosecution served the charge sheets on the accused. But because prosecutors refused to plead guilty, formal charges have been delayed until next week.

The court has fixed a new date of October 23 for the chargesheet. It means that Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi should be formally charged with the charges. Both politicians attended the hearing with their legal team and lawyers.

There are also concerns about the confidentiality of the case, which is not available to the public. Some people want the media to have access to the courtroom.

The case involved a missing diplomatic line that allegedly contained a threat to oust the PTI government from the US. Imran Khan is already in jail in connection with another case known as the Toshakhana case. where he was sentenced to three years imprisonment.
