ICC Women’s World Cup in 2025: Schedule Released

The schedule for the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 has been officially released by the ICC. The tournament will take place in India from February 24 to March 23, with a total of 31 matches taking place in eight Indian cities, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, and Kolkata.

The final will be held at Eden Gardens, one of the most famous cricket grounds in the world. This will be the first tournament hosted by India since 2013.

Eight teams will compete in the tournament. Five teams have already qualified (India as host, Australia, England, South Africa and Pakistan). The other three teams will qualify in a global qualifying tournament.

The teams will play each other one time in a round-robin format and at the end of group play, the top four teams will advance to the semi-finals.

Dates for the tournament:

  • Opening match: February 24
  • Semi-Finals: March 20, 21
  • Final: March 23 at Eden Gardens

This World Cup should be a big moment for women’s cricket in India after the Women’s Premier League. With this being hosted in India, local fans will likely flock to support the team and experience great cricket along the way.
