ICC has planned to pull out the Champions Trophy 2025 tour on Skardu and Muzaffarabad due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. The tour was to start from Islamabad on 16th of November but has been rearranged because India has opted not to compete in a tournament in Pakistan. The PCB had planned to stage a very hectic home series which comprised of Taxila, Khanpur, Abbottabad, Murree, Nathia Gali before moving abroad.

The Champions Trophy tour starts internationally in Afghanistan on November 26-28, and Bangladesh on December 10-13. The trophy then goes to South Africa (December 15-22) to kick off its journey in the southern hemisphere. The trophy is with the Australian team during the Christmas time from the 25th of December to the 5th of January, and with New Zealand from the 6th to the 11th of January.

From there the tour proceeds to England for a three-day tour from January 12-14 then to India from January 15-26. The last stop is Pakistan and the event starts there officially on January 27. This broad international calendar reveals its truly international status, without causing outrage in countries that can potentially host the tournament but are not included.
