Honda Atlas Begins Exporting Locally Built Cars to Japan
In an innovative time for the automobile industry in Pakistan, Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan Limited (HACPL) has now officially been exporting cars, and the first shipment took off to Japan in a batch of completely built cars. The milestone is a revelation for the growing potential of the country in automobile manufacturing and strengthens Pakistan’s rightful position in the global auto market.
A Grand Inauguration Ceremony
The export operations were performed in full swing at the Honda Manufacturing Plant, where a chief guest was present in the person of Haroon Akhtar Khan, a special assistant of the Prime Minister for industries and production.
During his visit, he appreciated Honda Atlas for having latest production capabilities and strict adherence to quality standards, as well as a commitment to local assembly. He valorized Honda’s pioneering role in establishing export potential for Pakistan, which is aligned with government policies for economic growth.
First Shipment: Honda CITY 1.2L Heads to Japan
The high point of the day was the dispatch of 40 units of the Honda CITY 1.2L-the first-ever batch of cars locally built and exported into Japan. The measure strengthens Honda Atlas Pakistan’s commitment to international market penetration and reflects global confidence in Pakistan’s manufacturing capability.

Aamir H. Shirazi, the Chairman of Honda Atlas Pakistan, commended the governmental policies that ensured a conducive business environment and stressed the importance of the automotive industry in the overall economic development.
In contrast, the other one, Takafumi Koike present President and the C.E.O of HACPL-was more focused on the legacy of Honda around the globe and the commitment that Honda shares toward technology advancement and innovation.
