Government Introduces New Office Timings for Federal Employees

The Government of Pakistan through the Establishment Division has introduced new Office timings for Federal Government Employees aiming to streamline Work Schedules across Various Departments. As per the latest Notification the Official Working Hours will Commence at 8:30 am and Conclude at 4:30 pm for Offices Operating five days a week. However for institutions Functioning Six days a week the timings will be adjusted from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Additionally a 30-minute Break has been allocated from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm to allow Employees time for Prayer and lunch. This Adjustment Reflects the Government’s Commitment to accommodating the Religious and Personal Needs of its Workforce while Maintaining Operational Efficiency.

It’s worth noting that these revised timings Supersede the temporary adjustments made during the holy month of Ramadan. Previously Federal Government Offices Operated from 9 am to 3 pm for five-day Workweeks and from 9 am to 2 pm for Six-day Workweeks. On Fridays the working Hours were further Reduced ending at 12:30 pm.

The Decision to implement new Office timings underscores the Government’s Emphasis on Optimizing Productivity and ensuring a Conducive work Environment for Employees. By Standardizing working Hours across Different Departments the Government aims to Enhance Coordination and Facilitate effective Service Delivery to Citizens.
