A newly released video scandal now causes a major crisis for the Chennai Super Kings by showing injured player Gurjapneet Singh participate in team celebration. The tape has created substantial uncertainty throughout the IPL because it shows potential rules violations which were used to improve the underperforming team.

The team video showing Gurjapneet during Dewald Brevis’ birthday on April 29 showcased the player even though he had been officially withdrawn from tournament action because of his injury. The video emerged at the same time when Brevis joined the team as a substitute but it resulted in questions about Gurjapneet Singh’s injury circumstances.

Brevis received his “Baby AB” moniker because of his playing techniques which resembled those of AB de Villiers as he smashed 42 runs off 25 balls in his opening match for the Titans against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Without any official declaration from CSK regarding the startling video footage they play Punjab Kings at Chepauk Stadium on April 30.
