Conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh Hundreds Affected by Recent Fighting

Azerbaijan has Started a Military Operation in the Nagorno-karabakh Region and it’s Causing a lot of Trouble. A Leader from Nagorno-Karabakh said that at least 200 people have Died, and more than 400 have been hurt in this Fighting. This Conflict has been going on for a very long time and it doesn’t Seem to be ending anytime Soon.

The Person in charge of looking out for People’s rights in the Nagorno-Karabakh region Shared this sad News on Social media. They also said that among the people who died, there were ten who were just regular folks, including five kids.

This fight between Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh started up again after around three years. Azerbaijan hasn’t told us how many of their own People got hurt but their president did say that Some of their Soldiers were killed and others got injured.

This all began because there had been a lot of Tension between both sides. It got worse when Azerbaijan said that six of its people died because of explosions caused by mines in Karabakh. They Blamed Armenian Separatists for this.

Azerbaijan’s Military says, they are doing this to fight against terrorist groups in the Region. They’re using really accurate weapons near the front lines and inside the area as part of their operations.

Armenia and Azerbaijan have been Fighting over Nagorno-Karabakh for a very Long time. They had a big war about it in the 1990s and another one in 2020. Even though most of the People living in Nagorno-Karabakh are armenian and it’s Officially part of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan says they are taking action because they’ve been getting attacked by Armenian separatists in Karabakh. They also accuse Armenia of Sending more of their Soldiers there which is making things Worse. Azerbaijan wants to stop big trouble in Karabakh, make the Armenian soldiers leave, and keep people who live there safe.

Before all this, Azerbaijan told Russia and Turkey about what they were planning to do in Karabakh. The world is worried because this fighting might bring back a lot of problems to this part of the world.
