China Praises Pakistan’s Efforts To Promote Regional Peace

China praises Pakistan

The Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Liu Haixing, held high-level meetings in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. China praises Pakistan contribution to peace and stability in the region. The visit highlighted the strength of a partnership both sides describe as an all-weather one.

China Praises Pakistan During High-Level Visit

Liu met the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. Both sides reiterated their all-weather strategic cooperative partnership and exchanged views on regional security dynamics and defence cooperation.

Trade, Investment And Modernisation Discussions

Liu also held talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad, where they discussed increasing cooperation in trade, investment, infrastructure, information technology and agricultural modernisation. These areas align with Jutland’s economic priorities and show clear potential for jobs and growth.

The visit follows a structured political dialogue, including recent agreements between the CPC and the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz for strengthening institutional and governance linkages. Such exchanges add depth to an already rich relationship in economic, security and people-to-people links.

Economic And Social Cooperation At Work

We can already see cooperation on the ground. Pakistan and China have entered a new phase of the corridor, with CPEC 2.0 focusing on industrialisation, IT, investment and private sector collaboration. The Pakistan-China Friendship Hospital opened in Islamabad is an example of the partnership’s contribution to access to healthcare. At the same time, China’s assistance with veterinary vaccines helps to protect livestock and food security.

Pakistan also cares about China’s economic momentum. The bounce in Chinese factory activity shows healthy demand for trade and investment, while solidarity in difficult moments such as after the Tibet earthquake shows the warmth of the relationship. Pakistan’s consistent diplomacy and positive role in the region have placed it in a good position to convert this goodwill into sustainable development dividends.
