BISP authorities have repeatedly warned beneficiaries about scams relating to false SMS alerts, registration fees and illegal payment deductions.
8171 is the only official way to send messages. Any other number that claims to be BISP should be considered suspicious.
The program also stresses that there is no fee whatsoever for NSER surveys, registration changes or payment processing.
